Arizona State Ends Massive Recruiting Day With Arkansas LB Jordan Crook

Former Arkansas Razorback Linebacker Jordan Crook becomes the fifth transfer to announce their commitment to Arizona State.

Crook was the most statistically productive recruit today by the Sun Devils. Last season, the junior linebacker produced 28 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble in 12 games, including one start.

Crook is a 6’0, 220-pound linebacker from Duncanville, Texas. He also received offers from an undefeated Liberty team, Memphis, and UCF. However, Arizona State is quickly becoming a Texas farm, as most of our recruits come from the Lone Star State.

Crook came out of high school in 2022 as a top-50 linebacker in the country. He was a high three-star who was heavily recruited by schools like Texas Tech and Oklahoma State. Crook had offers from 16 Power 5 schools. He ended up choosing Arkansas.

Crook, like most transfers, needed a change of scenery. Despite being somewhat productive in his last season with the Razorbacks, Crook has the potential to be an incredible player. Arizona State provides him with that opportunity as Brian Ward’s defense needs all the help it can get to slow down the powerful Big 12 offenses.

The Arkansas transfer joins Javan Robinson, Justin Wodtly, Laterrance Welch, and J.P. Deeter as the five transfers committed to ASU today. All five players target defense, so it’s clear where Kenny Dillingham’s focus lies early in the transfer cycle.
