Booker said he wished Paul stayed in the game as a competitor, but understands “it’s an emotional game, and things happen.”
This game ended up being much closer and longer than it should have, as the Warriors got back into the game despite choosing not to play Steph Curry and Klay Thompson late in the game. It was also drawn out by the Suns taking 52 total free throws.
“(We’re) just trying to be aggressive,” Booker said in terms of the free throws. “I think there’s a lot of space out there with (Jusuf) Nurkić’s ability to playmake.”
Phoenix now gears up to play its final NBA In-Season Tournament Game Friday night in Memphis against the Grizzlies.
