Carroll was drafted by the Diamondbacks straight out of high school 16th overall in the 2019 MLB Draft.

However, his path to the major leagues was marked by several injuries, including one that necessitated shoulder surgery, causing him to miss quite a bit of time.

At the age of 21, Carroll finally made his debut on August 29th, 2022, playing in 32 games that year and offering fans a glimpse of his potential in his upcoming full rookie season.

And despite expectations already through the roof, he found a way to still exceed them all.

In 2023, Carroll became the first not just rookie but player in MLB history to record 25 or more home runs, 10 or more triples, and more than 50 stolen bases in a single season.

Corbin wrapped up the regular season with 116 runs, 30 doubles, 10 triples (1st in MLB), 54 stolen bases (2nd in MLB), and a batting average of.285.

These stats were more than enough to earn him a spot on the National League All-Star team, where he had the honor of taking the field in his hometown of Seattle.

And the good news for the Diamondbacks is that they have Corbin Carroll locked up on an 8-year, $111 million contract.

Which, considering his rookie season, is looking like an absolute steal.
