Without Bradley Beal and Devin Booker, the Suns have seen some impressive performances off their bench, such as Josh Okogie, Yutu Watanabe, and Drew Eubanks.

Oddly enough, the Suns hold a halftime lead despite Kevin Durant shooting 5-12 and holding a -7 while on the court.

Besides Kevin Durant with 17 points, Eric Gordan has led the scoring charge with 13 points on 6-8 shooting.

As for the Pistons, it has been Marcus Sasser off the bench playing a large role, going 3-3 on three pointers.

Another key factor to the Suns early lead has been their pressure on the boards.

It’s been a collective effort, with no single player grabbing more than five rebounds, but as a team, they managed to secure nearly nine more boards than the Pistons.

Considering the Suns have surrendered leads twice already this season, the challenge now lies in duplicating this performance in the second half.
