Ketel Marte extends postseason hitting streak to 17 games

Against Ranger’s ace Nathan Eovaldi, who has been dominant all October, Ketel Marte not only expanded the Diamondbacks’ lead to two runs but also stretched his postseason hitting streak to 17 games.

It was a double into the right-center gap that put Marte next to an elite group of postseason legends.

Other players with 17-game hitting streaks in the postseason include: Hank Bauer, Derek Jeter and Manny Ramirez.

Additionally, this clutch RBI double marked Marte’s 20th hit of this postseason, shattering a franchise record for the Diamondbacks.

The Diamondbacks lead the Rangers 5-3 in the 5th inning.
