The Diamondbacks acquired Peterson at the trade deadline from the Oakland Athletics.
However, since joining the team, Peterson has struggled at the plate; he ended the regular season going 17-93 while with the D-backs.
In the postseason, Peterson has seen just four at-bats; he has gotten on base via walks in three of them.
He will likely be used as a pinch hitter for the Diamondbacks in the World Series.
The first pitch for Game 1 is tonight at 5:07 PM.
