Perez is a super senior and throughout his career he has averaged 15.1 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 3.5 APG, and 39.8% from the field. His 3-point percentage has dipped down to the 20s since his Freshman season when he shot 38% from downtown.
The last time he played was for the 2021-22 season when he averaged a career-high 18.9 PPG, 4.5 APG, and 3.2 RPG. He played 33 minutes a game and shot 40% from the floor.
Perez is 25 years old and has played for 3 different schools. Manhattan, Marquette, and Gardner-Webb. He transferred to West Virginia for the 2022-23 season but was denied eligibility last season by the NCAA.
Per reports, his dismissal from the team ahead of this upcoming season had to something do with his academics. Perez later on pushed back on the disputes in a post he made on X.

This would be a great get for Arizona State and it would improve their depth at the guard position behind Frankie Collins and Jamiya Neal. Only time will tell to see if something comes from this.
