The Arizona Coyotes jetted off on Saturday to get an early start to their NHL Global Series preseason games in Melbourne, Australia. The games are scheduled for Sept. 23 and Sept. 24 at Rod Laver Arena where they will face the Los Angeles Kings and become the first NHL teams to play games in the southern hemisphere.
Almost all of the Coyotes’ anticipated rostered players will make the trip and bear the 17-hour time difference Down Under. While most will fly out of Phoenix as a team, a few players are taking an alternate route to Melbourne.

Logan Cooley and Dylan Guenther will be meeting the team out of Las Vegas where they traveled to take part in the 2023 Rookie Faceoff over the weekend.
The early arrival in Australia will allow the Coyotes’ time to adapt to the time difference, conduct some team bonding activities and hit the ice in some additional practices before their preseason matches.
