As an attempt to make a statement, the NFL administered a staggering total of 32 fines during Week One, and among them, the Cardinals received four, surpassing all other teams in the league.
First, Kyzir White was fined $18,056 for a late hit on quarterback Sam Howell. This penalty was part of a drive that awarded Washington over 65 free yards just on Cardinals defensive mistakes.
The Commanders went on to score a touchdown on this drive to give them a 7-0 early lead.
It was the highest fine given out by the NFL so far this season.
