Elliot Perry

Elliot “Socks” Perry got his nickname because of his long socks, obviously. He played with the Suns for three plus seasons during his career and averaged 7.4 points per game.

Connie Hawkins

Connie “Hawk” Hawkins played for the Suns for five seasons. He got selected four all-star teams while playing in the valley. During his Suns years, Hawkins averaged 20.5 points per game.

Walter Davis

Walter Davis is the all-time leading scorer in Suns history. He scored a lot of points with his silky smooth jump shot. Which earned him the nickname of “The Man with the Velvet Touch”. This is a great nickname for a jump shooter.

Amar’e Stoudemire

Amare Stoudemire has the awesome nickname of “STAT”. Which stands for “Standing Tall and Talented”. Stoudemire is one of the most beloved Suns of all-time because he stood tall and got the most of his talent while in Phoenix. He averaged 21.4 points per game while shooting 54% from the field.

Dick Van Arsdale

Dick Van Arsdale is also known as “The Flying Dutchman”. Whenever the word flying is in your nickname, it has a great chance of being a good nickname. Arsdale played nine seasons for the Suns. He averaged 17.6 points per game while shooting 47% from the field.
