Coyotes’ preseason on the horizon as they prepare to start it Down Under

The Arizona Coyotes preseason kicks off in only a few weeks when the team takes part in the NHL Global Series preseason games. The ‘Yotes will face the Los Angeles Kings at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia on Sept. 23 and 24.

With their preseason games against the Kings, the two NHL teams will make history as the first teams to compete in the southern hemisphere. 

Four other teams including Detroit, Minnesota, Ottawa and Tornonto will also be traveling on behalf of the Global Series and play in two regular-season games during mid-November in Stockholm, Sweden. 

The Coyotes’ will be splitting their roster in order to play their preseason games in Australia and also compete in an out-of-market location at INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas against the St, Louis Blues on Sept. 23. 

The rosters for each location have yet to be announced by the team. With a total of three games on Saturday the 23rd, the squad will look to start off their season with a bang and grab a couple of moral-boosting wins.
