The arms need to show up

Plain and simple, the pitching staff needs to dominate. Of course it’s a very cut and dry answer, but after being beat up in LA, they need some confidence. Zach Davies will be starting for Arizona, in his most recent start for the Diamondbacks he threw five innings allowing five hits and one earned run.

Baltimore is very successful at the plate. The club has 83 wins and leading their division and not by luck. Limiting that Offensive success has to be the #1 focus, not just for the win, but for the staff as a whole.

Carroll has to outshine Henderson

Corbin Carroll has been the best rookie in the MLB throughout the entirety of the season, there is no question. Henderson has been doing his thing though. Henderson is the front runner to win the AL Rookie of the Year award, with some breathing room.

Corbin Carroll has offered the Diamondbacks so much energy in his first year and he needs to do so with one month left in the season. The Diamondbacks rookie can also cement himself as the future of the MLB for time to come by dominating the O’s and outshining Henderson.

Carroll playing well will just establish more confidence in the ball club. It seems like every time Carroll is doing well, so are the Diamondbacks.

The veterans make a big impact

Arizona has a couple of guys despite having a really young core, that share a deal of experience. Christian Walker and Tommy Pham have to pave the way for the young guys.
