Christian Walker; A Baseballs Worst Nightmare

There is no doubt that over the last week, Diamondback fans have been extremely hopeful when Christian Walker has been to the plate.

Rightfully so might I add. Christian Walker has been one of the best hitters in the league over the past week, if not THE best hitter.

In his last six games Christian Walker has homered in four of them. If it wasn’t for Christian walker the Diamondbacks might not have won three of their last five. Also, in a win over the weekend against the San Diego Padres, Walker manufactured two of the Diamondbacks three runs.

Over the past six game span Walker also has two doubles and twelve RBIs. Yes, twelve RBIs. One of the biggest killers in baseball is stranding runners in scoring position. The Diamondbacks do not have to worry about with Christian Walker at the plate.

Christian Walker leads the team in those three statistics on the season, which should come as no surprise. Walker leads the team with 74 RBIs on the year, 32 doubles and 28 home runs.

Walker homered a total of four time in the three-game set in Colorado. Twice today in a 9-7 win. Three of those balls being crushed over 425 ft! On Monday night in a loss to the Colorado Rockies where he hit his first home run of the series. Walker also doubled and brought in three of the Diamondbacks four runs on the night.

Walker is no doubt having a great year at the plat. With the pace he is on it could be a career one. Walker is projected to finish with 35 bombs, 46 doubles, 158 hits and 105 RBIs.

The 32-year-old first baseman seems to be having a late bloom to his career, although Diamondbacks fans won’t complain about it at all.
