CA S Martell Hughes

Martell Hughes, a three-star class of 2024 safety from Madison High School in San Diego, officially visited ASU on June 16. Hughes is 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds. According to MaxPreps, Hughes played seven varsity games last season and recorded 39 tackles, half a sack and one interception. Click here to see his Hudl profile.

He will be deciding between ASU, Arizona, Cal and Washington State.

Hughes picked up a 247 Sports crystal ball prediction to ASU from West Coast recruiting expert Greg Biggins (97% accuracy) on June 29, so he is very likely to come to ASU.

TX DB Chris Johnson Jr.

Three-star cornerback Chris Johnson Jr. out of Aledo High School in Texas included Arizona State in his top six schools on May 20. He recently visited ASU on June 9. Johnson is listed at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds and is in the class of 2024. His high school won state last season, and Johnson recorded two interceptions, 29.5 tackles, two for loss and had two fumble recoveries for the year. Click here for his Hudl profile.

His father is not Chris Johnson the running back, but rather former Louisville cornerback and 11-year NFL veteran Chris Johnson. He also put SMU, Arkansas, Oregon, Utah and Louisville on his list. It appears he is down to three schools now: ASU, Arkansas and Oregon.

Johnson has no crystal ball predictions as of yet, but it is highly likely he chooses ASU as well.

Kenny Dillingham hints that at least one will commit

Coach Dillingham hinted last week on Twitter that one of the Sun Devil hopefuls will be committing to ASU. Now, he appeared to be intentional in saying “2Morrow” in reference to who will be committing on the holiday.
