Another strong starting pitching performance from Zac Gallen led the Diamondbacks to a 5-1 series-deciding win over the Brewers.

Gallen tossed seven innings and allowed only one run on three hits. This performance was eerily similar to his start last week against the Guardians, where his seven innings of one run allowed also guided the Diamondbacks to a 5-1 win.

However, the D-backs were not always setup for the win, as they trailed by one heading into the sixth inning. Brewers starter Julio Teheran also had an excellent afternoon, providing five shutout innings.

It would not be until a walk followed by a pair of singles that allowed the Diamondbacks to finally put some runs on the board.

Emmanuel Rivera and Alek Thomas led the offensive charge; both ended the afternoon with three-hit games. The bottom half of the Diamondbacks lineup accounted for seven of the team’s nine hits.

The D-backs will now travel to Washington to finish up their three-game series against the Nationals. Game three of this series was delayed on June 8th due to poor air quality.

Rookie Tommy Henry is scheduled to get the start for the snakes, first pitch will be at 10:05 AM MST.
