Don’t look now, but the Arizona Diamondbacks are officially tied with the Dodgers for the best record in the National League, and fans are ecstatic.

After losing 110 games in 2021, followed by a 4th-place finish in 2022, the D-backs are shocking the entire baseball world with their red-hot start to the 2023 season.

With a roster full of exciting young talent, what is not to love about this underdog team?

Combine all of this together, and the D-backs are finally attracting national attention as they attempt to make their first playoff run since 2017.

However, despite this unexpected hot start, the D-backs are struggling to pull fans out to the stadium.

Through two months, Chase Field has averaged under 20k fans per game; this is 21st in the MLB and is almost identical to their attendance in 2022.

Even with all this winning, the Diamondbacks consistently see thousands of empty seats at every home game.

Will this surge to first place end this unfortunate trend?
