Rudy Gobert Rips Officals From Last Night’s Game Against the Suns

Minnesota Timberwolves star defensive Center Rudy Gobert was not happy with the way the game was called last night against the Phoenix Suns. The Timberwolves lost a close game by a final score of 107-100 and Gobert didn’t like the way the officials were calling the game last night to say the least.

“It’s not fair. It’s really not fair,” Gobert said after the game. “Every night. I have been in this league for 10 years, and I try to always give the benefit of the doubt, but it is hard for me to think that they are not trying to help (the Suns) win tonight.

The Timberwolves only shot 12 free-throws last night to the Suns’ 27. This is something that Monty Williams has alluded to in the past when it comes to the NBA officials especially in games against the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers.

A lot like Williams, Gobert has similar sentiments to how he feels about officiating for certain teams that he even wouldn’t even be surprised if the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings got special treatments in the games before they played the Suns last night.

“It is hard for me to think that they didn’t try to have the Warriors win the other night or the Sacramento Kings the other night. It is just so obvious as a basketball player. I have been in this league for so long, and it is disrespectful.”

The officiating has been inconsistent and bad all year around. It’s something that the NBA is going to have to figure out during the offseason based on a lot of the comments that they have been receiving from the players this season.
