The Suns officially hold a 1-0 record with Kevin Durant on the floor. Phoenix came out victorious against the Charlotte Hornets with a final score of 105-91.
While the Hornets attempted to make a late-game comeback, closing the gap down to six points at one point, Phoenix kept their lead from the opening whistle to the final.
Of course, Kevin Durant had to show off in his Suns’ debut. The 13-time All Star shot 10 of 15 from the field for 23 points in just 24 minutes. His midrange jumper once again proved to be the best in the league.
Now just imagine what he can do when fully healthy…

@Suns I still can’t believe @KDTrey5 is actually in a Suns uniform playing a real game. This is real. It’s actually happening. #KD #KevinDurant

The obvious here, but the obvious doesn’t always come to play with super teams: Kevin Durant looks real sharp in limited minutes, and Phoenix is going to be a beast of a team

But let us not forget the man who played a huge role in bringing KD to the valley in the first place.
Devin Booker was electric tonight, shooting 15 of 26 for 37 points. His highest scoring night since December 17th.

Devin Booker has exploded in this fourth quarter, pretty much killing any chance of the Hornets making a comeback.
Deandre Ayton, Kevin Durant, and Booker have been on fire this quarter.
This entire Suns team have been electrifying. #NBA #NBATwitter #WeAreTheValley #Suns

The big three showed out tonight, and yes, the bench struggled, but a win is a win.
