The Arizona Cardinals announced on Friday morning that they extended safety Jalen Thompson. The contract includes $40 million over three years along with $24.5 million guaranteed.
Thompson was drafted by the Cardinals in the 5th round of the 2019 NFL supplemental draft.
After suffering an ankle injury during the 2020 season, Jalen Thompson proved himself to the Cardinals in 2021.
In just his third season in the NFL, Jalen finished with three interceptions along with 79 solo tackles.
The Arizona Cardinals secondary might be one of the most underrated aspects of the team.
Budda Baker and Jalen Thompson set to be one of the best safety tandems in the NFL for years to come.
