Corbin Carroll has been sidelined after being struck by a pitch in the hand back in the middle of June against the Blue Jays. An MRI would later show that he had a chip fracture in his hand. Carroll will be looking to get back before the All-Star break, though there still is no timetable.

D-Backs Manager Torey Lovullo spoke on Corbin Carroll:
Arizona Diamondbacks Manager Torey Lovullo said the team is monitoring how Corbin Carroll responds. “He was lighting the ball up. He made a couple of comments, walked by me, and sat with the trainer for a second. He said, ‘Do you mind if I play in the ACL game tonight?’ I’m like, ‘Whoa, whoa. I like that.’ That’s how fast it happened.” (Credit: Steve Gilbert MLB)

For now, Carroll is expected to remain with Reno through the weekend. If all goes well, a return to the Diamondbacks before the All-Star break remains on the table. For a team chasing postseason position, Corbin Carroll’s comeback can’t come soon enough.
