Some highlights from the Diamondbacks’ first six games include their third baseman homering five times and accumulating 11 RBIs, all while posting a 1.312 OPS.
Arizona has maintained a solid foundation in its starting rotation, which is directly reflected in these rankings. With that being said, some exciting news that will help the Diamondbacks flourish and maintain their strong record is their offer to two-time All-Star Ketel Marte—a six-year, $116.5 million contract extension, which could keep him with Arizona through 2030.
Marte is a key player for the Diamondbacks, and just like their ranking, his outstanding stats reflect his impact. Including the 2025 season, Marte has played 933 games for the Diamondbacks, compiling a .283 batting average, .844 OPS, 140 home runs, and 465 RBIs. Not to mention, last season, Marte was selected as the second baseman for the All-Star Game.
Overall, Arizona is off to a striking start, and fans are hooked on how much more they could accomplish over the rest of the 2025 MLB season.
