The Diamondbacks have played all 162 games, but they are still going to have to wait two more to find out whether or not they will make the playoffs this year. Arizona sits in a three way tie with the Braves and Mets for the final two wildcard spots, but don’t own the tie breaker over either team. Atlanta and New York have two more games against each other after their series was delayed last week because of Hurricane Helene. The Braves host the Mets for the final two games of the MLB regular season Monday. If either team sweeps the double header, then Arizona would get into the playoff with the final wildcard spot. However, if Atlanta and New York spit, they would both make the post season and the Diamondbacks would be the ones left out.
