Arizona Cardinals kicker Matt Prater reached a milestone in Sunday’s 20-13 loss to the Detroit Lions that no active NFL player has accomplished.

Prater now stands at 1,806 career points after drilling two more field goals after this extra point. The next closest active player is Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, who has 1,672 career points.

Prater is 15th on the all-time list of points scored in NFL history, as former Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri is first with 2,673 points. Tucker is 22nd all time.
Prater holds the NFL record for the most 50-yard field goals with 81, as he became the first player with over 80 last season. He was second for the longest field goal made in NFL history at 64 yards (in 2013 with the Broncos) behind only a 66-yarder from Tucker in 2021 before Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey made a 65-yard field goal in a loss to the Ravens Sunday.
The Cardinals will forever relish the reliability Prater has brought to the kicker spot since joining the team in 2021.
