HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reported today on X:

Phoenix Suns executives Gerald Madkins (assistant general manager) and David Sevush (personnel evaluation manager), along with scouts Charles Payne and Darrel Johnson, won’t return to the organization, league sources told @hoopshype.”

Scotto reported back in May that Phoenix would not be bringing back assistant general managers Morgan Cato and Trevor Bukstein.

The Suns have since have officially hired Matt Tellem as assistant general manager and Brian Gregory as vice president of player programming.

Madkins was hired as assistant general manager and vice president of personnel evaluation in March 2023 and has nearly 20 years of front office experience, while Sevush has been with the Suns since June of last year after being a scout with the New York Knicks from 2017-23.

Payne and Scott were also with Phoenix for just one season. Payne was previously a scout with the Brooklyn Nets from 2016-23, while Scott was a scout with the Los Angeles Clippers from 2016-23.
