Just 28 minutes before the Phoenix Mercury host the Minnesota Lynx on Friday, news broke that Brittney Griner and Bec Allen will return for the Mercury. Both Griner and Allen are scheduled to start against the Lynx.

Allen will provide shooting and scrappy defense per usual. However, Griner’s addition back into the lineup completely changes Phoenix’s look. It’ll allow the Mercury to slow down the offense in the half-court and find more looks on the inside.
Both Griner and Allen participated in their first practice back on Thursday. They each looked healthy, and are both set to grace the hardwood tonight.
