Offensive Dominance

Through the season’s first nine games, MacKay is averaging 30.3 points and 4.8 rebounds a game on an efficient 53% from the field. He is also showing his two-way ability, averaging 2.2 steals per game. He is averaging the second-most points per game in the entire state this season.

The senior averaged just under 20 points last season but the team went 20-5 and entered the open state playoffs as the No. 19 seed.

Despite this unbelievable play, the North Canyon Rattlers are just 4-5 on the season and lost their last game 85-52 to Desert Mountain.

MacKay is currently the only player on the Rattlers averaging double-digit points a game and consistent offense is what the team has been missing.

Rest Of The Season

While MacKay will undoubtedly continue this level of play, the main goal is to turn the team’s season around and get them back on track with a potiential playoff push.

Keep an eye on one of the state’s most talented scorers Wyatt MacKay of North Canyon High School.
