It was a tough game one loss to the Denver Nuggets as the Suns turned the ball over 16 times in the 125-107 blowout loss. However, the worst part of the loss might’ve not even been the turnovers but how the rotation has played over the course of the game.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Granted it’s only game one but fans were not happy with how head coach Monty Williams has played his reserves so far in the playoffs.
Cam Payne played a total of five minutes in garbage time and scored 5 points on 2-3 shooting. Terrence only played 5 minutes as well and didn’t score a basket. Landry Shamet played 14 minutes and only took 1 shot which was a made three-pointer in the game.
After poaching Ross away from the Mavericks and Payne now healthy again to play, fans are wondering why haven’t these two players specifically gotten any solid minutes in the playoffs.
Cameron Payne and the Suns' streaky 3-point gunner Terrence Ross has not played a minute in Game 1.
Suns have made just four 3s tonight, (4-of-11). Nuggets have more than tripled that at 13-of-27.

Monty out thinking this again…
How does Landry Shamet get minutes? How are the rotations this out of whack?

We’ve played Landry Shamet, Damion Lee, and Jock Landale in this game but went away from Biyombo and still are not playing TJ Warren, Cam Payne, or Terrence Ross…

Fans are clearly upset with the way Williams has handled the rotation. To Williams’, the reason he sticks with Shamet is due to spacing purposes for Kevin Durant based on his ability to shoot from the outside while playing off the ball. However, with a game like tonight, according to Williams everything is on the table now.
Monty Williams said “it’s all on the table” when asked about Cam Payne possibly being back in the rotation in this series

Skip Bayless Is Still a Believer In The Suns After Game 1 Loss
We’ll see if Williams changes things up for Game 2 and moving forward or if he’ll continue with the same look for the remainder of the series.
