Fans’ Not Happy With Monty Williams’ Rotation Decisions

It was a tough game one loss to the Denver Nuggets as the Suns turned the ball over 16 times in the 125-107 blowout loss. However, the worst part of the loss might’ve not even been the turnovers but how the rotation has played over the course of the game.

Granted it’s only game one but fans were not happy with how head coach Monty Williams has played his reserves so far in the playoffs.

Cam Payne played a total of five minutes in garbage time and scored 5 points on 2-3 shooting. Terrence only played 5 minutes as well and didn’t score a basket. Landry Shamet played 14 minutes and only took 1 shot which was a made three-pointer in the game.

After poaching Ross away from the Mavericks and Payne now healthy again to play, fans are wondering why haven’t these two players specifically gotten any solid minutes in the playoffs.

Fans are clearly upset with the way Williams has handled the rotation. To Williams’, the reason he sticks with Shamet is due to spacing purposes for Kevin Durant based on his ability to shoot from the outside while playing off the ball. However, with a game like tonight, according to Williams everything is on the table now.

We’ll see if Williams changes things up for Game 2 and moving forward or if he’ll continue with the same look for the remainder of the series.
