As the Mercury’s lone representative at this year’s showcase, Copper found herself representing a franchise that has undergone dramatic change in recent seasons. The honor highlighted just how quickly the veteran guard has become one of the faces of the organization since arriving in Phoenix in 2024.

Copper has provided consistent production while helping lead the franchise through a new era. Following the departures of stars such as Diana Taurasi and Brittney Griner, the Mercury have turned to Copper as their centerpiece on the court and one of their most recognizable figures off it. Her fifth All-Star selection is another reflection of that consistency and the respect she has earned across the league.
That recognition was on display throughout All-Star Weekend.

The Phoenix guard mingled with fellow veterans and stars and received a roar of cheers when she was introduced in the city where she won her first WNBA championship. While her time on the floor was brief, Copper made the most of it, finishing with four points, four rebounds and two assists while giving Mercury fans a reason to celebrate.
The All-Star appearance was more than another accolade. It served as another reminder of the trust Phoenix has placed in Copper to lead the franchise into its next chapter. She has rewarded that faith by continuing to excel on the court while giving the Mercury a consistent presence among the WNBA’s elite.
