PHOENIX — Former Phoenix Mercury forward DeWanna Bonner is heading to Atlanta to team up with Angel Reese and company.

Bonner, the 17-year veteran, had the remainder of her contract bought out by the Mercury earlier this week, the team announced in a statement.

According to ESPN’s Alexa Philipou, Bonner signed a deal with the Dream for the remainder of the season at a prorated max contract of $116,000.

Bonner joins an already stacked roster full of All-Stars, including Angel Reese, Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard.

Star center Bri Jones has been struggling with injury all season, so the addition of Bonner will help give the team even more depth in the frontcourt.

Atlanta has already clinched a playoff spot and is seen by many as a favorite to win the championship this year.
