GLENDALE – In no surprise, Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride was named to the NFL’s first-team All-Pro after a historic 2025 season. However, slight controversy comes with the news, as McBride only received 49 out of 50 first place votes. The lone voter to not pick the two-time Pro Bowler elected San Francisco 49ers  tight end George Kittle for the spot.

McBride had the opportunity to only be the fourth player on the 2025 first-team to be unanimous. However, fell just one vote short of adding another record under his belt.

McBride nearly perfect for first-team All-Pro:

In his fourth season in the NFL, McBride set the NFL tight end record for the most receptions in a single-season with 126. He surpassed Cardinals tight end Jackie Smith for the most receiving yards yards in a single season by a tight end with 1,239 receiving yards. The 26-year-old had 16 straight 5+ catch games dating back to last season, tying Kansas City Chiefs tight end Trey McBride.

McBride led all his position peers in every single offensive category, moving his comparisons to league wide. He was second in catches, second in touchdowns, third in targets and sixth in yards compared to other team’s top wide receivers. McBride is the first Cardinals player since Budda Baker in 2020 to earn All-Pro honors, and the first offensive player since David Johnson nine years ago.
