GLENDALE – One of the biggest snubs from the 2026 Pro Bowl rosters was for Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Josh Sweat. His 11 sacks put him in the top 10 in the league, while his four forced fumbles leads the NFL. Despite Arizona’s record, Sweat seemed an obvious choice to make it to his second Pro Bowl.

However, once the NFC roster was announced Sweat was named as a replacement/reserve player, meaning he would only make it due to injury or a player playing in the Super Bowl. That fact didn’t sit well with Sweat, as he aired out his feelings on Wednesday to the media.

Sweat on being snubbed from Pro Bowl:

Sweat has struggled in recent weeks and following down the league leaders in sacks. That fact shouldn’t have taken an effect at his voting because by the time the voting started and ended Sweat was in the top five of that category. Regardless of team’s shortcoming, the 28-year-old had the second most popular vote from fans and had all the metrics to make the Pro Bowl.

The names that made it ahead of Sweat were New York Giants Brian Burns, and Los Angeles Rams’ Jared Verse and Byron Young. Sweat has a tough case against Burns and Young, but he had more sacks and forced fumbles than Verse. The only difference between the two was that Verse was on a winning team, while Sweat is on one of the worst teams in the league.
