PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks are bringing back one of their key arms from the second half of the 2025 season.

The club has signed right-handed pitcher Taylor Rashi to a minor league free-agent contract with an invitation to Spring Training ahead of the 2026 season.
Rashi, who made his major league debut in August, had a strong run at Triple-A Reno, throwing 67.1 innings and posting a 3.48 ERA with 72 strikeouts. The performance led to his eventual call-up, where he became a valuable piece of the bullpen as the Diamondbacks pushed for a playoff spot.

The right-hander appeared in 10 games for Arizona, pitching 16.1 innings with 22 strikeouts, a 4.41 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and two saves. He was one of 17 pitchers to record a save for the Diamondbacks in 2025, an MLB record.
The re-signing reflects the Diamondbacks’ need for cost-controlled pitching as they look to bolster their staff. With Rashi’s familiarity with the system and his strong minor league resume, he is a logical candidate to compete for a bullpen role this spring.

If Rashi can replicate his strikeout rate from the minors and continue to refine his command, he could become a dark-horse contributor for Arizona this season.
The deal is low risk for the Diamondbacks and could offer a significant reward in an area that needs much-needed work before the start of the next year.
