The team confirmed that wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has been ruled out because of a lingering heel injury.

Harrison’s absence further thins a receiving corps that has already been stretched this season. He had just returned after missing two games following an appendectomy, but he aggravated the heel injury in the Cardinals’ Week 13 loss to Tampa Bay.

While the Cardinals aren’t playing for a postseason spot, it’s still a significant blow to lose another young talent. Harrison has been one of the team’s top contributors with 40 catches for 594 yards and four touchdowns this season.

Arizona will now have to readjust its passing attack without one of its top playmakers. The Rams aren’t an easy matchup and the Cardinals will need a collective effort to stay competitive.
