GLENDALE – After missing two straight weeks recovering from appendicitis surgery, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. returned in Week 13 vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his first game back, Harrison had six catches for 69 receiving yards and looked back to normal. However, Harrison looked visibly uncomfortable walking and had to be pulled late in last Sunday’s game.

Head coach Jonathan Gannon stated that the 23-year-old is running fine but looks and feels uncomfortable when walking and has a heel issue. This leads into Harrison missing his second straight practice with week on Thursday, as he headlines the Cardinals injury report.

Harrison is just many of the marquee names sidelined due to injury, with the offense running out of weapons. Fellow wide receiver Greg Dortch didn’t practice on Thursday, which could lead to another WR1 day for wide receiver Michael Wilson. The run game remains a minute point, as running back Emari Demercado has been limited the last two practices. Meanwhile, running back Trey Benson has missed four practices since having his 21-day practice window open.

Arizona faces off against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14, and despite its opponent having a middling passing and rushing defense, it likely won’t matter because of the amount of injuries to the offense. Despite the Rams allowing 140.7 rushing yards in the last three games, the Cardinals are lacking with any healthy halfbacks.

The offense has evolved into a more pass-heavy offense since quarterback Jacoby Brissett has taken over. However, without Harrison in the lineup, the task becomes more difficult.
