The chatter around Ja Morant has intensified. After the Memphis Grizzlies’ recent shake-up, especially the departure of Desmond Bane, the Grizzlies may be open to parting ways with their franchise point guard. Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus had the Phoenix Suns emerging as a compelling fit. One proposal positions scorer Jalen Green and a first-round draft pick as the keystone in a package to acquire Morant.

Morant is averaging roughly 20.4 points and 7.1 assists per game so far on the 2025-2026 season. His ability to break down defences and lift crowds aligns with Phoenix’s franchise momentum. Suns fans want a leader with good basketball IQ, someone who can carry playoff lifts and not just regular-season stats.
