TEMPE — Arizona State re-entered the AP Top 25 this week after Friday’s comeback win against TCU.

ASU overcame a 17-point deficit early in the game against TCU, with the team’s first touchdown coming late in the second quarter. Quarterback Sam Leavitt threw a touchdown pass to wide receiver Jordyn Tyson for Arizona State’s first points of the game, then ran eight yards for the second score.
With the game closer at halftime, 17-14, the Sun Devils and the Horned Frogs traded leads throughout the second half. The difference in the game was again ASU kicker Jesus Gomez’s 23-yard field goal in the final 1:14 of the game.
ASU linebacker Martell Hughes intercepted TCU quarterback Josh Hoover in the final seconds to give Arizona State possession and seal the win.

Friday’s 27-24 victory was enough for Arizona State to be rereanked again, receiving 107 votes to land at No. 25.
Leavitt completed 27 of 39 passes for two touchdowns, running for 13 yards and a rushing touchdown. Tyson had eight catches for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Gomez made two of four field-goal attempts and added nine points in the win.

After winning three straight and starting the season 4-1, the Sun Devils will look to build on their momentum as they prepare to face another conference opponent in the coming weeks.
Arizona State’s next game will be against Utah on the road on Saturday, Oct. 11.
