PHOENIX — Phoenix Rising notched their first win in the USL Jägermeister Cup after defeating Texoma FC on Saturday evening, but what made the match so historic?

Phoenix and Texoma exchanged blows throughout the entire match, with five lead changes that led to the 5-4 win. The nine combined goals made Saturday’s encounter the highest-scoring match in Jägermeister Cup history.
Additionally, it was Rising’s first match in which the club scored five goals since Sept. 16, 2023.

Phoenix’s Charlie Dennis was the star in the win with a hat-trick of his own. Dennis became the second player in Jägermeister Cup history to achieve the feat.
Phoenix Rising will return to USL Championship action at home against Lexington SC on July 4.
