Rising drew against New Mexico United FC in their second match of the tournament on May 30, 3-3. Phoenix would go on to win in a penalty shootout, 3-2, after regulation and earn their first five points of the cup.

Texoma also came off a draw in their first match against El Paso Locomotive FC, 0-0. They couldn’t come away with the win in penalties, falling to El Paso 6-5. Texoma has one point in the cup.
