What Carroll has done for the Arizona Diamondbacks has been remarkable, as he has been lighting it up at the plate. Not only is he producing at the plate at an extraordinary rate, he is breaking records early on.
Most HR in team’s first 24 games, Diamondbacks history:
2001 Luis Gonzalez: 13
2025 Corbin Carroll: 9
2010 Mark Reynolds: 9
2010 Kelly Johnson: 9
2004 Richie Sexson: 9
2000 Steve Finley: 9 https://t.co/yqYaL9WJn5— Sarah Langs (@SlangsOnSports) April 24, 2025
So far on the season Carroll has a .327 batting average, .404 on base percentage, and a 1.097 OPS. Carroll has recorded a hit in 20 out of the 24 games, and has 11 games with multiple hits. Just last night, Carroll hit two homeruns against the Tampa Bay Rays that makes him tied at the top of the MLB leaderboard for home runs on the season with 9. Corbin Carroll is also fourth in the entire league with hits on the season and OPS, as he has 33 so far in 24 games with a 1.097 OPS.

Carroll spoke on his hot streak:
“It’s great to see balls over the fence, but I think part of what’s working is that’s not necessarily what I’m trying to do. Just trying to hit balls hard on a line and those those swings happen sometimes. Been really pleased with how it’s gone so far.”

The 2023 National League Rookie of the Year had a sophomore slump last year as Carroll batted a .231 average, but has since then turned it around. It is early on in the 2025 season, though if Carroll keeps up this type of work he might find himself in the MVP conversation.
