PHOENIX – On Monday, the Phoenix Suns took on the Los Angeles Clippers inside PHX Arena. The Suns mounted an electric 20+ point comeback, shocking the Clippers. Phoenix’s amazing fourth-quarter run took all the headlines, but LA’s star guard James Harden’s footwear also grabbed fan’s attention. The 11-time All-Star wanted to show out for his Alma Mater, ASU, wearing his newest colorway for the Harden Volume 9 titled “Sun Devils.”

The shoes carry the school’s color codes of a darker maroon with a metallic outer shell. The golden shades pop out with the Three Stripes cut-outs on the side. The cherry on top is the Sun Devils logo plastered on the tongue of the sneaker. Monday was the shoe’s debut, as it wasn’t in the initial preview of public colorways.

Harden played in Tempe for two years, from 2007-2009. In 69 games, the future MVP averaged 19.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists, earning an All-American bid his sophomore season. Harden brought ASU to new heights and his effect is still felt to this season. The three-time scoring champ loves and appreciates his time in the Valley, discussing how he has a house in Scottsdale and giving back to the program.
