TCU threatens Tempe, can Dillingham’s Sun Devils defend home turf

TEMPE – The Big 12 announced on Friday two huge schedule updates for Arizona State football for the 2025 season. In its second season in the Big 12, ASU is coming off its best season in over a decade. The conference champions will have a target on their back, and that’ll start and end at Friday games. The Sun Devils will host Friday Tilts vs. TCU (Sept 26th) and Arizona (Nov. 28th) to open and end its Big 12 schedule.

In 2024, ASU went 1-1 in Friday games and 6-0 at home, its first undefeated home season since 2004. It will look to repeat that feat against a tough TCU team. The Horned Frogs finished last year 9-4 and went on a four-game winning streak to close the season. TCU had one of the best offenses in the Big 12 and head into next year with a lot of confidence.

ASU’s senior night will be against Arizona, which is coming off its worst season since 2021. The Wildcats went 4-8, having the second-worst scoring offense and fourth-worst scoring defense in the Big 12. The Sun Devils won back the territorial cup last season against its interstate rival in a 49-7 bloodbath in Tucson.

Expectations are high coming into 2025 for ASU, and it’ll have a couple of tough Friday conference home games to try and repeat as Big 12 champions.
