GLENDALE – The Arizona Rattlers announced on Thursday that two-time AFL MVP Nick Davila will be inducted into the Ring of Honor on March 30th for its 2025 season opener at Desert Diamond Arena. During his six-year career with Rattlers, Davila leads the franchise to five Arena Bowl appearances, winning three consecutive championships from 2011-2013.

Davila had 32,616 passing yards and 766 touchdowns in Arizona and is one of the most dominant players in indoor football history. “The Latin Laser” is the all-time franchise leader in passing touchdowns and is widely considered the greatest put on a Rattlers jersey.
Arizona Rattlers owner Ron Shurts on Davila’s induction:
“Nick’s leadership extended far beyond the game. He set the standard for what it means to be an Arizona Rattler, not just through his play, but through how he led in the community and his personal life.”

Davila’s induction will take place during halftime of the Rattlers’ home opener, where it will also unveil the 2024 championship banner. It is poetic that the Rattlers will honor Davila, who has helped raise three banners for the franchise, on the same night will hang up one more.
