It took a little longer than expected but the Phoenix Suns finally got a win in 2025. And yet, Suns fans are still pragmatic after a 123-115 win over the Atlanta Hawks where the roster looked to have gelled together well despite stacking losses and constant trade rumors.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! In his third game off the bench, Bradley Beal led the Suns in scoring for the second time, posting 25 of Phoenix’s 56 bench points (Grayson Allen poured in 23 more points on 7-for-8 shooting).
Winning this game came with its fair share of drama, though, as center Jusuf Nurkic was completely out of the rotation, getting a DNP-CD for the first time in his career.
Here is what fans had to say about the team’s effort and togetherness and Nurkic’s DNP:

The team hustle and effort was there tonight, and that was the difference in this Suns W.
And, as always, that effort was led by Ryan Dunn.pic.twitter.com/B77zCa9asi

It was starting to get a little too close for comfort there, but fortunately, Trae Young misses a 3 in semi-transition, Grayson Allen gets a tough layup to fall to give him a season-high 23 for the night, and the Suns should be able to pull this one out, up 7 with 36 secs left

I think the story of the night is the bench

The Suns are playing like they have confidence in themselves and each other, it's obvious when it clicks for them.
Seeing a game like this makes the disconnected losses so much more frustrating.

Jusuf Nurkic is not injured – him not playing tonight against Atlanta is a coaching decision based on matchups.
