Not only did the Suns break a four-game losing streak, but Beal shined in his first game off the bench in eight seasons. The three-time All-Star scored 25 of Phoenix’s 54 bench points on 66.7% (10-15) shooting from the field.

Many Suns fans felt that moving Beal to the bench wouldn’t solve any problems, at least in the long-term. But what the move did was give Phoenix a fresh new look and its first win of the new year.
