With a host of colleges around the country recruiting and him being in the latter half of his high school career, highly-regarded Del Valle (Tex.) High School quarterback Jake Fette has committed to ASU.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! On social media late Sunday night, Fette announced his decision that he is ready to be a Sun Devil in 2026.
“Blessed to announce my commitment to Arizona State University! Excited to continue to pursue my dream as a Sun Devil,” Fette said on X/Twitter.

Before choosing Arizona State, he also received offers from fellow Big 12 Conference programs Baylor, Houston, Kansas, TCU and Texas Tech. New Mexico State, North Texas, UTEP and SMU were other schools that had given Fette offers.
247Sports ranks Fette as a four-star recruit, the No. 27 best high school football player in Texas and the No. 14 quarterback in the country. Fette stands at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds.
The El Paso native has helped the Conquistadores start this year 3-0, as he has thrown for 612 yards and rushed for 148 yards. As a sophomore, he accumulated 2,465 passing yards and rushed for 346 yards last season.
Fette is the lone commit from the high school class of 2026 for ASU thus far. Other junior quarterbacks the Sun Devils have offered but have either picked another school or remain undecided include Folsom (Calif.) High School’s Ryder Lyons, Houston commit Keisean Henderson, Florida State commit Brady Smigiel, Oklahoma commit Jaden O’Neal and Penn State commit Troy Huhn.
With current Sun Devil quarterback Sam Leavitt having three years of eligibility after this season, Fette will presumably join him and the rest of the quarterback room once he graduates high school.
Penalties, special teams woes haunt ASU, drop first game in Big 12 30-22 to Texas Tech
