WATCH: Kahleah Copper reflects on game-winning 3 vs. Lynx, Brittney Griner excited to be back for Mercury

Kahleah Copper capped off a 34-point performance with a 3-pointer with just 0.7 seconds left in the game, completing an 81-80 comeback win for the Phoenix Mercury over the Minnesota Lynx and in Brittney Griner’s return.

Postgame, Copper talked about the game plan and how she executed the clutch shot, what went on through her head when she scored the buzzer-beater, playing with Griner, the impact of Diana Taurasi and more. She finished with 34 points from 13-of-23 (56.7%) shooting and going 5-for-12 (41.7%) from three.

Griner was glad to be back with her team, how she felt during her early season absence due to injury, how special the Mercury can be going forward now that she, Copper, Taurasi, Bec Allen and Natasha Cloud can all play together, etc. The WNBA superstar scored 11 points, had four rebounds and her one assist in the game was on Copper’s winning shot.
