The Fiesta Bowl Organization is known for innovation in trying to bring new eyes to the always-changing sport of football and since its future is looking brighter each and every day, the organization has found the guy to take charge as its new senior vice president of corporate partnerships and development.

According to a press release, he will be responsible for building corporate and community relationships and partnerships among other duties in this new role.
“Consistent with the evolving landscape in college football and the organization’s mission to drive statewide community impact through meaningful partnerships, Iaquinta will play a pivotal role in advancing the Fiesta Bowl to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with key industry and community stakeholders,” the press release said.
“He will lead the strategy and execution of impactful corporate partnerships and activation programs, identify and pursue new partnership opportunities for the organization’s year-round portfolio of events and engaging community activities, and oversee the development of enhanced fundraising efforts to support the philanthropic endeavors of Fiesta Bowl Charities, including its signature Palo Verde Wishes for Teachers initiative and nonprofit grants program.”
Iaquinta started his tenure with the Cardinals in 2000, became the general manager for IMG College at Cal Berkeley for a year and returned to the Cardinals in 2009 as the director for business development. Receiving a promotion in 2019, he was named the Cardinals’ next vice president.
While he was the vice president of corporate partnerships for the Cardinals, Iaquinta was one of the leaders in developing an array of partnerships like the naming rights sponsorship for the venue of the Fiesta Bowl since 2007, State Farm Stadium.

He is perfectly suited to leverage his extensive experience to create impactful alliances and drive revenue growth and innovation in the new era of the Fiesta Bowl Organization,” said Fiesta Bowl Executive Director & CEO Erik Moses in the press release. “Mike’s appointment emphasizes our commitment to delivering unparalleled value to our partners. His leadership will be instrumental in unlocking new opportunities and driving sustainable growth.”
Originally getting his career started, Iaquinta went to Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania and was a four-year starter for their football team. He also achieved Academic All-American honors before taking up internships at the U.S. Department of State and the White House.
Iaquinta has also worked in marketing and advertising for the Baltimore Ravens as well as Comcast Sports Net Mid-Atlantic.
“Arizona has been my home for more than two decades, where I have witnessed first-hand the Fiesta Bowl’s prominent long-standing position in college football and the local community,” Iaquinta said in the press release. “I’m excited to join Erik and the team as we begin an exciting new era on and off the field. I look forward to furthering the organization’s mission by engaging with all our partners and stakeholders in a meaningful way.”
