The Mercury posted this onto X to share Durant’s appearance with the world. “The only place to be on a Saturday night in Phoenix is watching a Mercury game. KD knows.”
What started as just a simple tweet turned into a larger sequence when Dallas left Phoenix with the win.
Jokingly, Dallas took to their X account to take a subtle shot at the Mercury.

“The only place to be on a Saturday night in Phoenix is watching a Wings win,” the post stated. “KD knows.”
The shot at Phoenix was abundantly clear, as Dallas’ social media team copied the caption nearly verbatim.

Phoenix replied with a statement saying the following:
“Old us would have roasted you for being a franchise with zero titles, but we’re in our new era,” Phoenix said, subtly throwing a jab right back at Dallas.
Phoenix and Dallas will face off again two more times this season, with both contests taking place on Dallas’ home floor.
