Coach Frank Vogel revealed the status of Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen for tomorrow’s Game 2 matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves after he suffered a right ankle sprain in Game 1.

Allen is questionable after he was a limited participant in today’s practice, per Arizona Sports’ Kellan Olson. X-rays on Allen’s ankle were negative following Game 1, Vogel said postgame.

Allen, who left with 4:44 left in the third quarter after awkwardly stepping on Karl Anthony-Towns foot and did not return, only had four points on 0-for-3 shooting in 25 minutes on Saturday. The Suns ended up losing 120-95 to Minnesota.

The Suns need Allen to get rolling, and his absence would be huge if he is unable to go. In his firsst season in Phoenix after being acquired from the Milwaukee Bucks, Allen was the league-leader in 3-point percentage in the regular season and just received a four-year, $70 million contract extension a few days before the start of the playoffs.

Tomorrow’s game tips off at 4:30 p.m. MST from Target Center. The Suns will hope Allen is good to go, as the Duke product only missed seven games in the regular season.

If Allen is unable to go, Royce O’Neale, who finished with 14 points in Game 1, will more than likely step into his starting role. Bol Bol could also be added to the Suns’ rotation after not playing outside of garbage time in Game 1.
