Working under Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley last year, Kingsbury collaborated with presumed top-3 2024 NFL Draft pick Caleb Williams.
Finishing sixth in the PAC-12 Conference with a 5-4 record, USC were 8-5 overall and beat Louisville in the 2023 Holiday Bowl, 42-28.
Before he helped the Trojans, Kingsbury spent four seasons with the Cardinals, going 28-37-1 in his one and only opportunity as a head coach in the NFL.
Kingsbury was hired on Jan. 8, 2019 and became the first coach for Kyler Murray in the pros when Murray was drafted in the same year.
During his tenure for the Cardinals, they made it to the 2021 playoffs with Kingsbury at the helm. Soon, Arizona rewarded him with a six-year contract through 2027 on Mar. 22, 2022.
But it all came crashing down from there as Kingsbury’s squad went 4-13 before eventually being fired on Jan. 9th, 2023.
Now with the new possibility of him being hired with the Bears, there is a chance that Kingsbury and Williams can reunite again since Chicago has the No. 1 pick.
